MITCHENALL FAMILY HISTORY

Sidney James died in during the First World war when serving as a member of the 2nd Battalion, Royal Irish Rifles.

 

He is remembered in panel 40 of the Menin Gate at Ypres. In 1911 the census records him, aged 19, at home working as a Music Salesman. 4 years later he joined the military.
