Ruby Ivy 

1921 - 1984

Born on May day 1921, Ruby was living with her parents in Buckinghamshire when the war broke out in 1939. She was 18 and working as a store assistant.

​

During the war in December 1943 she married William Douglas (1925 - 1997).

 

The couple later had a son in 1950.

​

She died in Devizes, in Wiltshire, and is buried at Ludgershall.

​
