Amos

1868 - 1868

Amos is recorded to have been born and died in the first quarter of 1868.

There is a sadder story here. The only criminal record found so far for the Mitchenalls is George Mitchenalls for affray; this appears to have been in connection with one Mr Cook, the man who ran off with George's brothers wife. He was given a discharge.

George's brother was also Amos, and it seems highly likely that after his brother Amos had died prematurely in 1867, having had his wife and daughter run off with the same Mr Cook, that George named his young son after his brother. Only to immediately loose his son Amos as well.
